About Course

DC GENERATORS. A simple direct current (DC) generator consists of an armature coil with a single turn of wire.

The armature coil cuts across the magnetic field to produce a voltage output. This course describes commutation in a DC generator, the major parts of a DC generator, and three basic ways a DC generator can be constructed.
