Orthogonal Time Frequency Space with Position Modulation (OTFS-PM)

We propose a new transmission scheme called Orthogonal Time Frequency Space with Position modulation (OTFS-PM).

this two-dimensional technique is designed in the delay-Doppler domain and it is proposed for operation over frequency-selective and rapidly time-varying fading channels. The combination of these modulation techniques improves the error rate performance not only in short but also in long distances and different speeds. With this new proposed scheme, the information is carried by using the delay-Doppler domain as in OTFS as well as by the indices of the subcarriers, which are initiated according to the incoming bitstream.
