About Course
Cisco’s CCNA Cyber Ops certification provides individuals with the knowledge to identify and respond to security incidents.
This certification provides a path to working in a Security Operations Center (SOC) and security positions. As a CCNA level certification, Cyber Ops provides introductory knowledge so one may be aware of the security landscape, understand security concepts and general networking. The test topics for the Understanding of Cisco Cybersecurity Fundamentals (SECFND 210-250) exam will be covered in this course. We’ll go into networking principles like IP addressing and access control models, as well as security concepts like risk management and the CIA triad. We’ll also go into cryptography and host-based research in-depth, as well as security monitoring tools, and attack methods used by threat actors.
WHY CCNA?
Organizations today face a difficult task in identifying cybersecurity breaches quickly and successfully reacting to security events. Network Operations Centers (SOCs) are groups of individuals who keep a close watch on security infrastructure and protect their organizations by identifying and responding to cybersecurity threats.
The Cisco Certified CyberOps certification prepares candidates to begin a career working with associate-level cybersecurity analysts within security operations centers.
As of July 2018, The United States Department of Defense (DoD) has approved the Cisco CCNA Cyber Ops Certification (now called Cisco Certified CyberOps Associate certification) for the DoD 8570.01-M for the CSSP Analyst and CCSP Incident Responder categories.
