About Course

Advanced Concrete Technology

This course focuses on the fundamentals of concrete materials science to have a better knowledge of how concrete behaves. The structure and qualities of concrete-making materials are covered in the first half of the course. The study of selected themes regarding fresh and hardened concrete behavior is followed by a mixture proportioning of high-performance concrete and research of selected topics regarding fresh and hardened concrete behavior. The course concludes with a discussion of long-term concrete performance issues such as creep, shrinkage, and durability.
